Top 10 Bullseye Moments - #6

From the MUCH anticipated Dark Reign: Hawkeye #5 of 5 comes the next installment of my Best Of Bullseye moments.

First off let me explain that the penultimate issue 4 of this monthly series was released in September 2009. The issue concluding this story arc was released this week...yes January 2010.

All I can say is that it was worth the wait. Bullseye remains, to this day, my favorite villain in the MU. I've obsessively collected covers with him on it, story arcs that concern him as a central roll and even those that have him in a single panel, non speaking role like the Old Man Logan story (whose ending was drug along in similar fashion [though for different reasons {ed. mostly because Millar is one of the biggest d-bags in comics today}]). (phew)

I don't know the reasons as to why Hawkeye's title got delayed. I thought they were going to tie it in to the end of Dark Reign somehow (but is that even done?) or they were going to try and tie it in with Siege...who knows

Anyway, on to the good stuff. We find Bullseye fighting Solo introduced (for this series) back in issue #2. Solo, thanks to a chip surgically implanted within his body he can teleport instantly.

You would think this would be Bullseye ultimate nemesis. Bullseye needs to aim. But if the target at which Bullseye is aiming is in constant, random motion that spells trouble for Lester.

However, check out these two pages:

Fast on his feet, he is. And smart.

This, my imaginary friends, is why Bullseye kicks arse.

Obviously Solo doesn't succumb to Lester's point-blank headshot at that particular moment, I'll leave the rest of the story for you to read.
