Dust, How To Rid Your Phone Of It

Well, my htc Incredible had a dust under the screen problem, which some phones were suffering from.

Last time I took the dive and disassembled it so as to remove the dust.

Quite an adventure when you're holding a brand new, 36 day old, $500 device in your hand knowing that if you break it you bought it.  It's actually kind of easy to do.  Take off the battery case, remove the 4 screws (voiding the warranty), pry the 6 clips holding the unit onto the backing, unscrew the 2 screws holding the motherboard on, two more screws for the LCD unit and take it out.  Clean it off and put it back together again.

Good as new!

Miss Tessmacher

Sitting on the couch watching the best comic book movie of all time, 1978's "Superman".

Miss Tessmacher sure has a good heart in that villainous, voluminous bosom of hers.

Dust Under Your HTC Incredible?

My incredible seems to have developed a problem. Dust has made its way into the upper left corner of the screen. I'm perfectly capable disassembling the device and a bit of googling has shown me that some units suffer this problem.

Of course fixing it myself voids the warranty, but I've been voiding warranty since I was 9 years old.

I bought a Rocketfish snap case and once that arrives I'll disassembling it.

Does anyone else have this dust problem? If so how did you fix it?

htc Incredible, Some Interesting Finds

I adore my new mini-computer htc Incredible.  While sending a text message the other day I noticed something I found a bit odd.

Now, the last time I was in a church was when I got married.  Before that, some funerals and other weddings.  Before that, I think it was my Confirmation.  So I'm more of a Lapse Catholic than a practicing I'm not some overly religious person looking for something to be offended about.

I was typing a text to a friend and typed out "thank God"...and as you know, when you're typing it will suggest words.  It suggested the correct word, however it used a lower case "g".  I expanded the list of possible words and there was no "god" starting with a capital letter.  "Vodafone" was there, no "God"

As an experiment I started typing the words "Allah" and there it was, perfectly capitalized.

Interesting, google, interesting.
